Inside/outside

The inside will always reflect the outside 

It’s an inevitable duality, that comes with time

But the moments where, 

The inside has changed, 

But the outside is reflecting 

The past that’s no longer there, 

It’s a fight in the mirror that you see 

The outside is presenting all it knows 

Behaviors, habit, people, and tests, 

To see if the inside is ready for the outside

To get to the next scene 

The scene where the inside, lives on the outside 

So the inside will learn, and retract, and evolve 

With a desire for what it knows it can be

And then one day, you open your eyes 

And you see your soul in your world around you
